How to change routes on Waze

Waze is a great app for navigating and, assuming Google won’t ruin it with too many ads, it will remain the best navigation app for a long time. And that because of it’s user’s reports that are so helpful.

That said, there are cases when you don’t want to follow the first route it suggests and you need to see alternatives.

Here’s how to select other routes on Waze

First, let Waze create a route for your drive and do it’s thing.

Second, when in navigation mode, tap the blue arrow from the bottom right corner of the screen.

On the next screen, you’ll be presented a few options. Tap the Router button.

In the next screen, Waze will show you all the routes he thinks you can reach your destination. Just pick one and see how it’s different from the others.
