Wouldn’t be nice if you could pick your own sounds, even on an iPhone, as notifications? That’s exactly what Telegram lets you do as of this week.
Until now, even in Telegram you were forced to settle to the predefined list of sounds available in-app. Now, the app lets you pick any sound file that you have on your phone.
And it’s pretty easy to use too.
You need to go to Settings – Notifications – Private/Group Chats – Sounds. Once there tap Upload Sound and pick one of the files on your phone.
The sound you just selected will appear on the list of sounds available to be used as a notification. Now you just need to tap on it to activated it.
That’s pretty much it.
Just keep in mind that the audio file you pick must have at most 300KB.
