This is a new iPhone feature that Android user will laugh at. But it’s ok, we know it’s late to the party. We’re talking, of course, about the ability to remove an app from the home screen without removing it entirely.
It’s pretty simple, actually. There are just three simple steps:
Now the app will be gone from your home scree but still installed on your iPhone. You can find it in App Library or doing a search by swiping down on your home screen.
Reading mode is one of Safari’s less know but very useful features. You can save all kind of articles to this list, so you can read them later.
But, unlike the usual bookmarking system, reading mode actually saves articles locally, so you can read them when offline.
With the article you wish to save open in Safari, tab the Share button. There, you’ll need to use the Add to Reading List option.
You’re reading list awaits you on the same place as your bookmarks. So tap the bookmarks button on the bottom bar in Safari and go to the middle section, with an icon resembling a pair of glasses.
Removing an article works just as in iMessage, for example. Swipe the article from right to left and tap delete.
Pretty neat, ha?
iOS has a neat less known feature that lets you preview links in Safari before actually opening them.
It’s pretty simple really, you just have to long press a link instead of taping it. Doing this will open a pop-up that will only show the link complete link at first.
But, after you use the “Tap to show preview” option, you will see a picture of the first screen from the page that link points to.
It’s a nice feature and can help you decide if you really want to to tap a link or not.
