How to enable Dark Mode on Google Maps (for iPhone or iPad)

It finally happened! Google added a Dark Mode iOS version of the Google Maps. Here’s how it works.

So, if you have an iPhone with a OLED screen you know by know that white is bad and dark is good for your batter and also your eyes.

Of all the possible apps, Google Maps is one of the last ones to add a dark mode, on iPhone at list.

And even when added, it won’t work out of the box. You’ll have to enable it your self.

Here’s how to enable Dark Mode for Google Maps on your iPhone or iPad

  • Tap your profile pic on the right hand side of the search bar in Google Maps;
  • Now tap Settings in that menu;

    How to Activate The New Facebook Design and enable Dark Mode

    Yes, you can finally have a dark mode on Facebook. But there is a catch.

    Facebook just launched a news design for it’s desktop site, that includes a long awaited dark mode. Yes, dark mode is ready for PC and not for smartphones, which is just weird.

    The new design is ready for everyone but it’s not enabled by default. You need to switch to it by yourself.

    How to activate de new Facebook design

    It’s pretty simple.

    Open the Settings menu (last button on the blue bar)

    Click “Switch to New Facebook”.

    How to enable / disable the dark mode

    When you first activate de new design, you will be presented the option to choose between white and dark mode.

    After that, if you have so switch between them, you can find a toggle in the same Settings menu.

    That’s all you have to do. Enjoy you new dark mode on PC and let’s hope we don’t have to wait much more for a dark mode on smartphones.
