Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 will be even more expensive than Z Flip4

As anticipation builds for the official unveiling of Samsung‘s Galaxy Z Flip5, leaks continue to flood the internet, revealing key details about the upcoming device. The latest leak brings to light an essential piece of information—the price. Reports from Greece suggest that the new model will come with a hefty price tag of €1,299 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.

This price revelation raises eyebrows as it represents a substantial jump compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip4, which launched last year at €1,099 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. If accurate, this translates to an almost 20% increase in price. Although slight variations may exist across the Eurozone due to varying VAT levels, the difference is unlikely to exceed €30-40.

Should these leaks hold true, the Galaxy Z Flip5 will undoubtedly be pricier than its predecessor. However, consumers might find the higher cost more justifiable considering the device’s reported enhancements. Notably, the upcoming model is rumored to feature a significantly larger outer screen, making its predecessor appear inferior in comparison. Additionally, Samsung seems to have resolved the hinge gap issue that competitors had already addressed, adding a touch of irony to the situation.

As with any leaked information, it’s essential to take these details with a grain of salt, as they remain unconfirmed rumors for now. We can expect more leaks regarding pricing in the coming weeks, which will either corroborate or refute these initial reports. Stay tuned for further updates as the official unveiling draws nearer.
