OnePlus finally launched their flagship phones and they look cool. But the price is not what you’d expect from them.
OnePlus 8 Pro
It’s got a 6.78” Fluid AMOLED display and 120Hz refresh rate – a first for the Chinese company – that also has HDR10+ support.
Another premiere is the fact that OnePlus 8 Pro is the first One Plus phone to have an official IP68 rating.
It does wireless charging with 30W. In half an hour you get 50% battery. Also, the battery got bigger and now has a capacity of 4,510mAh.
This smartphone has two 48MP cameras plus a telephoto and an assistant module. It’s able to record 4K video at 60fps.
Both models are based on the Snapdragon 865 chipset. The Pro version has 8/12 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB.
They’ll be available for $899/£799 and $999/£899.
OnePlus 8
It’s a 6.55” screen with 1080p+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. It also supports HDR10+.
There are two cameras on board. A 48MP main camera with the IMX586 sensor and a 16MP ultra wide. There is not telephoto camera here.
The 4,300mAh battery supports Warp Charge 30T over USB-C, charging up to 50% takes only 22 minutes.
This model has no no wireless charging, unfortunately.
Same chipset, RAM and storage here. And both have 5G and in-display fingerprint readers on them.
The prices are $700/£599 and $800/£699.
So, would you for pay this much for a OnePlus smartphone? They certainty lost they’re attractive prices that made them famous.
