If you are not a fan of autoplay on video streaming platforms, you’ll be happy to know that even on YouTube this can be turned off.
Video streaming platforms have the annoying habit of turning on autoplay by default, trying to make you watch more stuff and, in some cases, more ads.
This dark patern, however, can be turn off manually on most of this websites, including on YouTube.
To turn off autoplay on YouTube you only have to click the play/pause toggle from the video player’s bar. It’s right next to the closed caption button.
You can use the same button to turn autoplay back on, if you happen to change your mind later.
