Running out of space on your Google account? Here’s how to see what is taking up your space and how to free it up.
Now, that Google decided to be a complete asshole and charge us for Google Photos storage that it was supposed to be free, the storage space shared by all your Google services is going to be a problem.
But there is one thing you can do, except becoming a mulling cow for Google for the rest of your life. You can clean your Google storage and get rid of those big files that you don’t need anyway.
Step 1: See what’s taking up space
Te see your storage allocation among Google services, go to one.google.com and visit the Storage section.
Step 2: Remove the big files from Google Drive
On that same page. click on the link to Google Drive. You will be taken to a page that shows you the biggest files have on your Drive.
Note that that these files are sorted by size so the first ones are also the largest. Remove what is no longer necessary to you to clean up as much space as possible.
You can also try to do some more of the same in Gmail and Google Photos, but that is for another time.
Congrats! You just postponed paying your lifetime bill to the big bad Google for a few mounts.
