How to stop Facebook from automatically playing videos

If you’re annoyed by the way Facebook is forcing you to watch more and more videos (and ads) you have to know that there is a thing you can do about it.

You can just turn off the auto play feature for videos that Facebook enables by default. That is until they decide to remove it.

Go to the ever expanding More menu on your Facebook app, which you open via the three lines button on the right side of the buttons bar.

Scroll down that long list and open “App Settings”.

On the next screen, tap “Autoplay” and choose “Never Autoplay Videos”.

You can find the option to turn off auto play on the Video section of Facebook’s Settings. Just follow this link to get there.
