If you don’t want your iPad to mess with multiple apps o your screen, this is what you need to do to disable multitasking.
Multitasking is a tricky thing on an iPad. For some, it’s great. It allows you to have two or more apps at the same time. Which can be of use if you’re doing a lot of copy&pasting from one app to another or other productivity related stuff.
If not, multitasking can be annoying by if you, by accident, trigger an action that enables it. Like dragging an icon to the main screen and opening another app beside your active one.
So it’s understandable if you want to disable multitasking.
How to disable multitasking on an iPad
- Open Setting on your iPad
- Go the Home Screen & Dock section
- Tap Multitasking
- Disable the toggle next to “Allow Multiple Apps”
Congratulations! You have successfully disabled multitasking on your iPad.
